北に行ってきました。Another trip up to the State of Jeffereson.

イーストレイクの改築や、人生のイヴェントの数々で更新が遅れております。
そんな多忙な中、茸採り、魚釣りも一生懸命やっております。

ごく最近の話題から。
このたび、トリニティー群の調査も始め、いつもの連れとスティールヘッドというニジマスの航海型を釣りに行きました。

It's been a long time since the last up date.
The life has been keeping us quite busy nowadays.
Even in the time of crazy busy, we still find time to go fish, mushroom hunting and so on.

I just got back from another trip up north.  I and AJ went steelheading.
This time we have ventured farther out to the California's no man's land.  Trinity County is a part of the state of Jefferson.  It is close to the core of it.  people there hunt, fish, mine gold, hunt mushroom, my kind of people expect for the tweakers.

I and AJ went out there with one of my great guides Chris Parsons.  He is an ex-pro surfer.  It feels extra secure for me knowing that the water man is at the oars.
The section of Trinity we drifted was not for the timid of heart at a low flow we had.  There were a few sections where I would have had to stop and think about it for a long time regarding how to take them on.

We connected with seven fish and landed 7.  4 out of 7 were wild fish.
All safely released so they can go back out to the ocean and come back up again.
What a majestic fish they are.

ここは、カリフォルニアでも秘境中の秘境。ハンター、フィッシャーあるいは法の手ら逃れていられる方々、その他ヒッピー、金を掘っている人くらい。皆さん、小屋のようなお家にお住まいです。

今回は初めての川と言うことで、友達ガイドのクリス　パーソン君にお願いしました。これが正解。クリス君は、元プロサーファー。やはりサーファーがドリフトボートを漕いでいるのは安心感があります。ウォーターマンである我々は何かやはり、同一民族みたいな感じがするのだと思われます。

かなり寒い気温の中でしたが、最終的には大満足。結果連れと二人で合計７匹、そのうち４匹がネィティヴのワイルドフィッシュが釣れました。しかも最大１５パウンドは自然魚の圧倒的な美しさ。

今なら日本から格安でこれますね。円高すごいですね。
